Several regions in Hyderabad and surrounding districts witnessed substantial rainfall on Friday, causing waterlogging and traffic disruptions across the city. According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society, 28 different localities recorded rainfall nearing 80 mm, with intense downpours concentrated in multiple GHMC zones.
In Hyderabad district, the highest rainfall was recorded at in Banjara Hills, with 78.5 mm. Other high-intensity rainfall spots in Hyderabad included Srinagar Colony (80.5 mm), RTC X Roads (68.5 mm), and Sainikpuri (67.5 mm).
In Medchal-Malkajgiri, several areas were heavily affected. Trimulgherry and Anandbagh each recorded 78.0 mm of rainfall, while Lothkunta (67.0 mm) and Akashpuri (64.5 mm) also reported high levels of precipitation. Kapra zone witnessed significant rain with Sainikpuri registering 67.5 mm, and HMT-Swarnapuri Kunta 63.0 mm. Uppal district localities such as Chilkanagar (46.0 mm), Uppal GHMC office (44.6 mm), and Adarsh Nagar (42.5 mm) also experienced moderate to heavy showers.

Among the lowest rainfall figures just above the 40 mm threshold were registered in Kamalanagar, Uppal (42.0 mm), and Adarsh Nagar, Uppal (42.5 mm).
Authorities have advised residents in low-lying areas and commuters across Hyderabad to remain cautious as weather conditions remain unstable.DRF (Disaster Response Force) teams were mobilized to manage water stagnation points and assist in traffic management.
